The Lighting of the Advent Candles - Before each of our Advent services, we will be lighting a candle to represent the waiting for Christ – Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.

Advent Bible Study via Zoom - Join us on Tuesdays at 7 pm beginning December 1 as we will be having an Advent Bible study on the Book of Exodus. This will be a time for us to reflect and pray for the coming of the Lord. We will gather on Zoom so that we can interact with each other. If you have not done so already, please make sure that the church office has your email as more information is to follow.

God With Us, A Family Advent CelebrationThis Advent, we will be using Katie Pawlak’s God With Us, which is a 25-day simple, memorable, and gospel-focused activity. Every day (beginning December 1st until Christmas Day), we are asking you to colour one symbol in your colouring book. Extra copies will be available for pick-up during office hours. We also ask that you reflect on the daily readings that correspond with each symbol, either from the Old or New Testament. Feel free to cut out the symbols and use them as ornaments on your Christmas Tree!

Large Advent Symbol - Every parishioner will be given one large symbol to colour in addition to the symbols in the colouring book. We are asking that this large symbol is coloured and returned to the church on Sunday, December 20 so that we can laminate and hang them all on our Tree of Hope, which will be recreated as The Jesse Tree for the Advent/Christmas season.

Upcoming events in our parish

Blue Christmas ServiceJoin us on Wednesday, December 16 at 7 pm as we partner with St. Ninian’s and St. John the Divine for a Blue Christmas. More information is to follow.

St. Peter’s Virtual Christmas Pageant, The Gospel According to SheepThis year, our youth group will be putting together a virtual pre-recorded Christmas Pageant entitled The Gospel According to Sheep. We are asking all youth to contact either Ian or Youvi to participate in the Pageant. All parts will be individually recorded for safety concerns. The pageant is a dialogue/drama script involving humans, God, and plenty of sheep, giving an alternative view of Christmas and life in general. We are hoping to have the recorded video available on Sunday, December 20.
